Sue Toohey: What’s in the way, is the way!

7 July 2022 @ 7:30 pm 9:00 pm

Description

All of us have problems, pressures and difficulties which get in the way of the life we’d like to have. These rocks in the road often get in the way of our practice too, which can make life even more difficult.

How can we deal with these problems that are blocking our way towards peace and freedom of heart and mind?

In this session Sue Toohey will lead us to explore the difficult task of dealing with difficulties, with input from you and your experience and using all the tools we have available, including the Buddha’s teachings and a bit of yoga breathing.

Speaker

Sue Toohey is an experienced Dhamma, meditation and yoga teacher, qualified in both Hatha and Dru styles of yoga. She regularly takes meditation drop-in classes at the Buddhist Library. Formerly a university lecturer in the School of Public Health at UNSW, she has a lifelong interest in using yoga to counteract depression and anxiety and develop mental well-being. She has been a Buddhist practitioner for more than 30 years.
